This is a great tour that departs from Athens and combines unique history, amazing natural sights and great food. From the legendary temple of Sounion, built on the top of the cliff, a spectacular horizon and a surface of deep blue crystal water spread out. On a clear day you can see the past of more than five islands from here. In ancient times, this temple served as the last signpost that marked the Athenians of their home culture, when they sailed far away, and the first they met when they returned from their travels. It is a most impressive and unforgettable sight. Lunch at one of the famous restaurants near the fish market in the city of Lavrion (Lavrion - about 20 minutes drive from Sounion Bay) is the best one can think of. On our way to Sounion, we will pass through the Athenian neighborhood of Vacha along the picturesque coastal road with the breathtaking view over the Saronic Gulf. On the way, you can stop at the shores of Lake Vouliagmeni, known for its healing water used for various treatments, and very popular among the locals who see it as a monument given to them by nature. Along the way there is at every moment the possibility of taking a dip in one of the beaches (if the schedule and the weather allow it).
